Artist Statement

Solasta Lucky McIntyre is a transformative artist investigating recovery and repair. Their experimental research on embodiment magic and ancestral connection addresses three essential questions:

Who am I?

Where do come from?

Why am I here?

The result is an intimate and raw account of the archetypal healing journey through the lands, skies and memories of family, emotion and magic. By authentically following the impulses of the body and the whispers of the past, SLM uses photo, video, memoir, poetry, performance, movement, audio and installation to invite the viewer back into relationship with themSelf and the web of life. As a trained somatic psychotherapist and luminary wounded healer, they believe this act is what frees, heals, and transforms.
