Join neurodivergent facilitators Sol McIntyre (of Sit with Sol Therapy) and Ari Vinion (of Constellations Community Mental Health Collective) for a fun-filled day learning how to unmask safely with your unique body and social context in mind.

For 4.5 hours, including hourly breaks, you will be experientially immersed into concepts, tools and community to support your ability to unmask safely and confidently in the outside world. From Authentic Movement to building your sensory go bag, this Unmasking Intensive is an affirming neurodivergent space offered on three separate Sundays this May, with a masks required at all times option.

  • Sol and Ari are both neurodivergent healers with clinical backgrounds whose work is focused on supporting the queer, trans/gender expansive, disabled, neurodivergent community. Here’s more info on them both:

    Sol McIntyre (he/they): Sol is a “late in life” diagnosed AuDHDer who began their healing journey after recovering from a life long eating disorder as a former professional dancer. He has a Master’s in Counseling Psychology and Somatic Psychology from the California Institute of Integral Studies. He is a Certified Autism Spectrum Disorder Clinical Specialist, as well as a Certified Level 1 Clinical Trauma Professional. His practice Sit with Sol Therapy specializes in helping neurodivergent minds thrive who have co-occurring diagnoses through the approaches of somatics, IFS, and psychodynamics. He has been facilitating groups since undergrad at the University of Vermont.

    Ari Vinion (they/them): Art is a Neurodivergent, Queer, Disabled healer who loves to work in community. They are the co-founder of Constellations Therapy Collective in Oakland with a Master’s in Community Mental Health. Their work is trauma informed and focused on disability justice, social justice, anti-racism, kinship with nature, and queer & gender liberation. They work with adults and children, and believe in interdependence over independence.

    • Welcomes all relationship structures including polyamory, is Kink affirming, sex positive, sex work affirming, and invested in fat liberation​

    • Trauma-informed clinician, experienced working with children of all ages, their families, couples, and individuals​​​

    • What is therapy with me like? It will be individual to you! This can include: Processing traumas and challenging experiences verbally and non-verbally, building coping skills and practicing together, Nurturing a supportive relationship with your environment (Indoors, outdoors, and everywhere in between), exploring sensory joy, connecting your special interest as a ally for healing, and following your lead to what your healing goals are. I am excited to discover together.

  • 4.5 hours on a Sunday in May, plus an hour long virtual orientation the week before you intensive to get to know the other participants, review policies and answer any questions. If you are unable to make the orientation you will receive the recording

  • Yes! We know how draining it is to go to a conference or intensive and there be just one or two 5-15 minutes breaks. That is just not enough. We have structured the intensive to provide three 15 minute breaks and one half hour break. The 15 minute breaks participants stay on site. The 30 minute break participants can leave the site.

  • May 4th:

    -All attendees are required to wear a well fitting high filtration mask for the entirety of the training, snacks and drinks can be eaten distanced from others.

    -All attendees are required to test for covid and email test results to insert email address by 10:30am on the morning of the training. Facilitators will do so as well as send their test results to attendees as well. Anyone with a positive test will not be admitted to the event, please contact organizers to discuss alternative options.

    -Event will be held outdoors


    May 11th and 25th:

    All Attendees are required to wear well fitting high filtration masks (n95/kn95/kf94) while in indoor spaces (passing through to get to the outdoor training space, bathroom, etc.)

  • $300 is the cost of the intensive, with a $200 reduced fee for the BIPOC community.

  • A maximum of 15 people per intensive day, and the two facilitators.

  • Yes. If you suspect, identify as or are formally diagnosed/assessed for neurodivergence, like ASD or ADHD, this intensive is for you.

  • No. This is a skill building intensive, so it is coaching. The facilitators have a clinical background and both specialize in working therapeutically with the neurodivergent community in their licensed practices, but this intensive exists outside of the therapeutic container / dynamic / legal structure. This intensive is an experiential educational resource. It is not therapy and is not a substitute for therapy.
